Block.one, publisher of the EOSIO blockchain software protocol – the fastest public blockchain protocol in the market – announced today that Eddie Schwartz, former Executive Vice President of Cyber Services at DarkMatter and a renowned cybersecurity veteran, has joined the company as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
HONG KONG, 2 Apr 2019 – Block.one, publisher of the EOSIO blockchain software protocol – the fastest public blockchain protocol in the market – announced today that Eddie Schwartz, former Executive Vice President of Cyber Services at DarkMatter and a renowned cybersecurity veteran, has joined the company as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Based in Blacksburg, Virginia, Schwartz will serve as a member of the Block.one Executive Committee. As CISO, he is responsible for the strategy and daily direction of the firm’s global cyber security program.
Over an impressive career that spans three decades, Schwartz has held numerous executive leadership positions. Prior to his role as EVP of Cyber Services at DarkMatter, a cyber security and digital transformation company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, he was Chief Operating Officer for the pioneering advertising fraud firm WhiteOps, Inc., VP and Global Leader for Cyber Security Solutions at Verizon, VP and Chief Security Officer for RSA.

He is the recipient of numerous awards including Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders Award, and George Mason University Management School’s Top 100 Patriots Award.
